UECC operates a fleet of 16 medium sized pure car and truck carriers (PCTC) with loading capacity ranging from 1 060 to 4 750 car equivalent units.
The vessels are either specially designed or adapted to operate on European short-sea routes. In addition to factory new cars and commercial vehicles, they are able to carry high and heavy cargo of all kinds.
THE WORLD’S LARGEST DUAL-FUEL LNG PCTCs
In 2016, we took delivery of two of the most technically advanced PCTCs ever built. They are the largest ecologically sustainable PCTCs as well as the biggest ever 1A super Finnish/Swedish ice classed PCTCs in the world.
The vessels are capable of operating with LNG fuel or heavy fuel oil as well as marine gas oil, providing greater flexibility and efficiency. They are fitted with an LNG fuel propulsion system and can complete a fourteen-day round voyage in the Baltics using solely LNG fuel, including main engine and auxiliary power generation.
With 10 decks and a carrying capacity of 4 000 ceu and 6 000 m2 space for high and heavy cargo with a maximum cargo weight of 160 MT, these vessels provide larger capacity, better operational flexibility, reduced fuel consumption and emissions, more efficient operations, and are enhancing the service to our customers.

We constantly monitor and upgrade our vessels, diligently maintaining a set of high safety and security standards.
The newest generation of our vessels are more efficient and more environmental friendly than previous generations. They have wide-open decks, free of internal pillars or other obstructions, as well as improved lightening and ventilation systems. They are powered by twin engines and are providing a 20 knots service speed. In addition, they are highly manoeuvrable, incorporating twin rudders, bow thrusters, and state of the art navigation and control systems.
