Stevedoring Strikes called off!

Dockworkers Union have declared Social Peace to all ANESCO associated companies and have called off the whole pre-announced Striking Dates.

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:

Further to the Information Letter updating the SPANISH PORTS STEVEDORING CONFLICT due to the EU COMPETITION Ruling and Liberalization mandate, which was circulated on 23rd June 2017.

Please find updated “Conflict Status” as follows:

After the approval of the Stevedoring Liberalization Royal Decree by Spanish Parliament on 18th May 2017 and meetings held between the Stevedoring Unions and Stevedoring Companies Association on 28th and 29th June 2017.

We are glad to inform:

Negotiations between Dockworkers Unions and Stevedoring Companies Association ANESCO have successfully concluded: ANESCO guaranteeing the employment continuity of 100 % of dockworkers in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Master Agreement “V Acuerdo Marco” dated 29th March 2017.

As an immediate consequence, the Dockworkers Union have declared Social Peace to all ANESCO associated companies and have called off the whole pre-announced Striking Dates.

Master Agreement negotiations are due to start next week and expected to be concluded by end of September 2017.
